The School Day
The School day begins at 8.45am with registration, then assembly. The students stay in their classes for all their lessons. The subjects are taught by specialist teachers. During the mornings the students undertake literacy and numeracy lessons, with a break for milk, fruit and playing outside.
Lunch is held in the Silverdale High School Dining Hall where the students get a choice of lunch. Afterwards they are given time to play in the garden and playground.
Lessons continue until 3.45pm with a fifteen minute break at 2.30pm. Subjects are taught in an integrated curriculum to allow time for play and problem-solving activities to take place.
