                     From the Principal’s Desk

Silverdale High School was born out of desire for continuity by the proprietress Chief (Mrs.) Peace Ezechukwu in September 2007.

The school commenced in the Primary School, shortly after that year moved to it present location at 4 Akinrinlo Street off Alimosho road Iyana – Ipaja, Lagos in April 2008.

The school is a co-educational, multicultural, non – denominational Christian’s school open to all religious backgrounds that inevitably makes it a family – oriented school in a very harmonious, challenging and learning environment.

Our curriculum embodies both the Nigerian and British curriculum committed and determined to achieve the goal of educational institution – producing a COMPLETE CHILD. Complete education is what the school aims at through preparing her students to become better individuals in the society. This distinguishes SILVERDALE HIGH SCHOOL from other schools in her environs. Branding is very essential and the type of branding a school engages in makes a lot of difference. As a brand the school is known for quality in every aspect including the way they dress, their attitudes, sitting posture, the way they should address parents, teachers, visitors and good behaviours generally.

The school provides excellent facilities in spacious, tranquil, warm and homely learning environment with limited number of students – a maximum of 20 students per class which enables the teacher give that individual attention required by each student to develop to their full potentials.

Our facilities includes an up to date Science Laboratory, Computer suite with Internet facilities, well equipped Music and Art Studios, Basic Technology workshop, Home Economics Laboratory, Library stocked with both Nigerian and Foreign Materials all in bright, well – resourced air conditioned classrooms with Electronics Boards. We also boast of good quality through resourceful and well trained personnel (teaching and non – teaching staff). School should not be so much more than just collection of buildings but should be a community of people working and learning together.

Silverdale High School recognizes and practices the three educational domains (Cognitive, Psychomotor and Affective). These are achieved through classroom teaching and learning processes, field trips, subject and recreational clubs. At the end of the day, we hope to provide a life long learner who is compassionate, confident, independent, literate, multi skilled and very importantly produce God-fearing students. And a critical learner that has respect for the environment and is able to make a desirable impact on society at large.

We encourage the involvement of the parents and families as a dynamic partner in their children’s education bearing in mind the perfect triangle of learning which requires the harmonious team work of the students, parents and teachers. Hence, the school does not see the students as simply joining the school instead we see them as becoming the school.
